Benefits of the Project

•  Historically Kolob Reservoir filled one out of every four or five years; it will now fill every year.

 

•  Annual flow into Kolob from Crystal Creek pipeline approximately 4,000 AF.

 

•  Will add to Virgin River flows during times of low flow.

 

•  Kolob water ends up in Quail Creek or Sand Hollow reservoirs. It can be used for culinary water.

 

•  Kolob water can be released during hottest months of the year to enhance fish habitat.
