Benefits of the Project

  • Replaced existing diversions and open water delivery systems along the Santa Clara River
  • Provided additional water to settle water rights claims
  • Allowed for water to be delivered to the St. George Clara Field Canal Company, the New Santa Clara Field Canal Company, the City of Ivins and the Shivwits Band and
  • Conserves and delivers water to Ivins Reservoir supplying 3 cubic feet per second (cfs) of instream flow below the Gunlock Reservoir to be adaptively managed for the benefit of a native fish, the Virgin spinedace.

 

 

 

The Gunlock to Santa Clara pipeline was dedicated on October 13, 2004.
