The district is hosting a Qualified Water Efficient Landscape (QWEL) training, which provides 20 hours of educational training in irrigation system design and maintenance, programming and operation. The training is one of two approved US EPA WaterSense Irrigation Auditor certification programs in the nation and is recognized by the EPA WaterSense program, Central Iron County Water Conservancy District, USU Extension, Washington County Water Conservancy District and the Utah Nursery and Landscape Association. Join us for the 4th annual Scarecrow Walk & Haunted Canyon at Red Hills Desert Garden. This free, family-friendly event will feature several scarecrow displays from various local organizations in addition to a haunted canyon decorated with skeletons, spiders and other creepy things. Join us on October 15 from 5 – 7 p.m. to enjoy music and cookie decorating.
