Pipelines

The district’s 200-mile-plus pipeline network is the backbone of Washington County’s water infrastructure. Pipelines, located from Kolob to Gunlock, transport water to the district’s municipal partners and retail customers to sustain Washington County’s population and economy.

Washington County has established a uniquely integrated system that allows water to transfer seamlessly among the district’s municipal partners. This regional partnerships also facilitates transfer of municipal water among cities when needed, improving water accessibility and reliability.

The district is currently working with the Utah Division of Water Resources on the Lake Powell Pipeline, an approximately 140-mile pipeline that will introduce a second water source for Washington County, nearly doubling its current water supplies. Visit www.LPPUtah.org for project information.
